The surrender of the CSS Atlanta, June 17, 1863.

The Union monitors USS Weehawken and USS Nahant force the surrender of the Confederate ironclad Atlanta. Hard aground, unable to maneuver, and damaged by the the Weehawken's superior firepower the CSS Atanta reluctantly lowers her colors.
